Hi it’s a good question I will leave the stop and TP as it’s more about the tech levels than the entry point. In future I am going to try to leave the levels blank and do those last so I don’t have this issue
Hi Brent, I'm halfway through your book. I have been an investor for 20 years. I have read a number of classic books, Barron's weekly, WSJ daily, etc, and tracked my returns on a spreadsheet vs the SPY weekly but noticed that I was getting shaken out of investments prematurely. Your book and your method are invaluable for sizing my positions and holding onto them better. A big thank you!
Hi Brent, I am currently reading your currency trading book and loving it. I am a trader of 2 years, going off of what Pete H. asked do you use any software in particular to help you screen for equities in a particular industry? I know you said you filter by Price-to-Sales, is there a go to stock screener you use?
Thanks again Brent. Will you be writing a future piece on how you reach an individual name like DOCS? There are always so many names that could fit in a particular narrative, it would be great to hear about your process for identifying the best risk-reward trade in a space.
Also, would you ever look at a trade that might take longer to play out? Such as ZM to $63 (the 2020 low) from $126 today?
Hi Pete... Yes coming up with names can be tricky for sure... Honestly most of my process there revolves around two things 1) reading a lot and just finding ideas / inspiration that way 2) filtering for a theme. So in this case I filtered for price-to-sales then started drilling into each one, one at a time 'til there was a story that made sense to me as a short.
Hi Brent,
Given you are marking your short in oil a $1.15 better, are you changing your stop and take profit orders?
cheers

Fair and by the looks of it, good call .... came within a Bee's dick of triggering last night!
Yes a bee with a small dick in fact. Small dick even for a bee.
"Please don’t email me what a great company DOCS is, or how telehealth is the future. I’m sure it is!"
I bet you will still get an email
Great read thanks Brent!

Nice to hear !! I'm really happy to know my book made a difference!

Hi Brent,
is the link broken to https://www.spectramarkets.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/Trade-3-short-DOCS-framework.pdf ?
In the DOCS 5 min chart you can see the second spike quite well. Not so good on the hour. So rather look for volume on smaller timeframes?
Thank you!
Weird I’ll check tomorrow sorry
Fixed not sure what happened there sorry
Nice to see that you also consider short interest. I had missed that in the article. Seems to be now already at 17%.
Thank you! It works now ;)
