Hi Brent, slightly late to the party, but still want to thank you sincerely for putting these case study out here. I've learned so much from you.
Question: "If growth in Canada is strong and there is high inflation, you would expect Canadian yields, equities, and CAD to do well". Why do you outline "high inflation"? Naturally, investors underweights their bond portfolio into equities, driving yield higher in most inflationary conditions.
Awesome read, Brent! Thanks for sharing so many details around your process and trade construction. I am learning a lot! Looking forward to the next trades
Thank you again Brent for setting out your thoughts so clearly. Do you prefer short term trades like those you have described so far? Your reasoning would also fit with an expectation for a bigger/more prolonged price move.
this is as close as i will ever get to sitting next to you and watching you trade in real time. I'm blow away more people are not doing this. I do tell them to. While i know you didn't invent the trader framework and checklist process, watching someone actually use it in real time is amazing. Thanks for your guidance. Its going to be a epic 50 weeks.
Great job!! Keep it up!!
I listened to the recording this time, you should start a podcast, anyway, is that futures curve chart of Oil an example of backwardation?
Thanks !!! I’m going to start a macro YouTube soon which will be podcast ish
